Kimura appears in comedy festival after split with Henmi

Comedian Yuichi Kimura, 45, took part in the comedy festival “LIVE STAND 08” at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture over the weekend, and talked about his divorce from actress Emiri Henmi, 31. During the event, Kimura, who had announced his divorce on Friday, said, “I’m sorry for causing trouble to those who are concerned about me. I hope many people will continue to support both me and Emiri.”

The event runs through Tuesday. According to the organizer, 15,000 people attended the festival on Saturday and 20,000 on Sunday.

Daughter of famous singers Mari Henmi and Teruhiko Saigō, life must have been really tough for poor little Emiri... Her mother set her career on track for her in 1998 by giving her the job of photography for her Good-Bye Abayo album. Yep, tough life indeed.

I feel more sympathy towards Kimura who married into the world of famous talent families.

They must've been gunning for the record for fastest showbiz divorce in Japanese history. He looks like a moron and if he neglected her in the usual way that many Japanese guys seem to do once they are married, then no wonder she's packed her bags.
