Grandparents acting like children. Pretty good role models, don't you think?

The R&RHoF is irrelevant.

The mockumentary 'This Is Spinal Tap', sums up the entire rock genre, when there lipstick and make up get smudged, and their egos start billowing like big girls blouses, the audience stop laughing with them and starts laughing at them.

Kiss were never important to the music. They gained notoriety for their makeup, costumes and pyrotechnics. Maybe that makes them noteworthy enough for inclusion in Jann Wenner's "Bands I Like or Have Been Browbeaten Into Including" club, but it certainly doesn't make them important enough to make me care about their petty squabbles.

I suppose this award has exhausted the truly great and is faced with more and more mediocrities to choose from as time goes on. Kiss are a very good example. The E Street Band getting this award is even more ridiculous.

Dad does this 'air guitar' to the Kiss 'classic' crazy nights, accompanied with a plethora of herky jerky dance moves.

I sometimes wonder what happened in the 70', the bonkers lingo 'funky chick, groovy baby, catch you on the flip-side, can you dig It, are you bootin, backatcha', plus all that spandex. Could this be evidence of contact with some form of extraterrestrial life.......maybe 'far out man' should be taken in its literal sense. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame could be a direct consequence of 'feeling the force' addiction.

KISS has some really good music. They also has an equal amount of not so good music. All the recent bickering among all bade mates has made me not care about either or.

This year it’s Kiss that’s angry, its members upset over the organization’s decision only to induct original members Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley while excluding members who joined later.

I would be upset also if the "Ankh Warrior" was not inducted with this group.

How many decades do you have to wait to get inducted? I think they would not have these problems if the bands were inducted before the members had fallings out or acquired new members.

@ Castle Doctrine, 2.5 decades to be eligible, however being determined of 'rock god' quality requires at least 5 of those years spent starving to death in the back of a ford transit van learning ones trade, followed by copious amounts of alcohol, drugs, plus developing the initiate ability to mangle and mutilate inanimate objects preferably hotel room furniture.

A large proportion of the inductees were non compos mentis before exiting the transit van. Keith Richards once counted amongst his closest friends 'sister morphine, brother heroin, and cousin cocaine', although he categorically denies he snorted his father’s ashes.

Then every self respecting rock god has to have a quote and Gene Simmons of Kiss is no exception... 'I love all women, I will never stop, I want every girl that ever lived. I'd copulate with everything that moves and if it doesn’t move… we work something out.” .....say no more.
