Koyuki and Haruka Ayase unveil Panasonic’s new flat screen TVs

TOKYO —

Actresses Koyuki, 32, and Haruka Ayase, 23, showed off Panasonic’s new VIERA series of flat screen TVs in Marunouchi this week. Panasonic will release 13 new models of Full High Definition TVs starting from March 1.

Koyuki and Ayase spent most of their time in front of a 50-inch plasma TV with a thickness of just 55mm - nearly half that of Panasonic models released in spring last year. The TV also uses about 40% less power, and will go on sale April 20.

Koyuki, who wore a bright orange top, said: “Spring is coming, and I wanted to wear a color I don’t usually wear.” Ayase said: “You can connect the TVs to the Internet and watch YouTube or movies through TsutayaTV, so that’s pretty handy.”

I doubt this product, or possibly even any Plasma TVs will be around this time next year. Good thing these ladies got the job while it was around.

Beautiful women to make the sales. Haruka actually had a site on livevideo.com for about 6 months. I chatted with her a bunch in Japanese. Nice girl. She was promoting a drama that never took off.
