TOKYO —

Actress Koyuki, 32, made an appearance this week at the preview screening for “Watashi Dasu Wa,” a film directed by Yoshimitsu Morita in which she stars as a woman who spends all her money to make her friends’ hopes and dreams come true. When asked if she shares any similarities with the character, Koyuki smiled bitterly, “I’m not that generous.”

Meanwhile, Koyuki’s supposed beau, actor and model Kenichi Matsuyama, 24, made an appearance at the sneak preview for his own movie, “Kamui Gaiden,” and recounted a conversation he had with the original author of the story, Sanpei Shirato, after filming was finished. “I couldn’t have been happier when he looked at me and said, ‘Now there’s the real Kamui.’”

“Watashi Desu Wa,” which co-stars Tomoka Kurotani, 33, and Eiko Koike, 28, opens Oct 31, and “Kamui Gaiden,” directed by Yoichi Sai, opens Sept 19.
