Oh, and her sister doesn't capitalize her own name? Looks like some self-esteem issues related to having an idol sister.

misono has been around for a while and she chose not to use her name originally as she didnt want to get labeled as just "Koda Kumi's sister"

its only been very recently that they have worked together, since misono has become more popular in fact

pics too small for me to make a sound judgment. I don't care for the music

This was the marketing strategy for sure.

"Misono ( misono ) is a bit of a makeinu"

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

misono is all of 24 years old!

Word has it Koda Kumi is out of instant gimmicks to sell records, so this is one of the answer. Last it was clown outfit on the cover of the album. I hate Koda Kumi; she's proven more than once that she has the personality of a spoilt child with a lack of intelligence. Her last hit song was a pi$$-poor 'hip-hop' tune with broken English peppered all over it and badly choreographed dancing.

That being said, she CAN be somewhat sexy with some of her other dancing (in videos) and outfits. Overall, though, her attitude is enough to turn me off her music altogether, if it didn't already suck.

I like the all-small letters, as opposed to the all-capital letters some other talents insist on.

    Agreed.

Sounds like a lot of Jpop.

Seriously, only a person who hasn't listened to much j-pop could think that's somehow unique.

    and badly choreographed dancing

Koda Kumi's dancing on videos is usually much better than most. Watch the XXX video little black dress sequence and tell me if "she CAN be sexy".

Misono was around before Koda Kumi in a failed avex group called day after tomorrow.

    "Misono"

    That's misono, heh heh.

actually Koda Kumi debuted in 2000, day after tomorrow in 2002 :)

misono needs some kind of break. After like 8 years in the industry she admitted on a talk show last week that she only gets rent (9 man/mo) and 7 man a month from her production company as salary. For foreigners looking to break into Japanese entertainment, that's what you can look forward to unless you make it SMAP big! Unbelievable.

it's nice to see sisters working together. i've never seen beyonce & solange together though.

I don't care for misono's voice too much. It seems much more high-pitched and forgettable. Other comments indicate she has an established voice, so I can't really hope this will improve.

I agree the choreography has declined in value since the Black Cherry album.
