Actress Meisa Kuroki, 20, showed up this week at an event for KDDI au’s new handset, Sportio, but the media seemed more interested in her relationship with musician Ken, who currently lives in New York. “It’s hard at the moment because we are so far apart. But it’s going well,” Kuroki told reporters.

Kuroki, who sings the theme song “Like This” for KDDI’s TV ad for Sportio, said: “I send about 50 emails a day via my handset.” Including to Ken in New York? “Sometimes I do, sometimes I don’t.”
