Mai Kuraki to perform at China-Japan-Korea Music Festival in Beijing

TOKYO —

Japanese singer Mai Kuraki is going to perform at the China-Japan-Korea Music Festival to be held at Beijing National Stadium on Sept 25, as a representative of Japan. This is the first time for Beijing National Stadium to hold a concert featuring non-Chinese artists.

Kuraki has great popularity not only in Japan but also in many Asian countries, including China. Since her debut in 1999, Kuraki has performed in many countries. In 2007, she performed the official song for the A3 Champions Cup in Shandong Province, China, and completed a successful concert tour of Taiwan, Shanghai and other locations.

Haven't seen her around in a while, and glad to see she's still at it. Not the greatest singer to grace the Japanese stage, but original, and with a good voice, which is more than you can say for most.
