I always worry about tag lines like "proceeds will go to..."

This is often after everyone takes a cut. I want ALL SALES to go to the aid. The music labels should donate their time and money to the cause just as they expect the people who buy.

Is there an audit of the funds? "Show me the money" has more than one meaning.

Still bought it...Japanese Red Cross is involved, so might be more on the legit side.

I am sure the victims of the earthquake/tsunami will really appreciate lyrics such as John Lennon's claptrap "Imagine no possessions...". And never having heard the Lady Gagme song "Born this Way", based on her public comments, I can only assume it refers to sexual perversion. Do we really have to shove this garbage down people's throats under the guise of "Help Japan". Me thinks there is an agenda here, and it is not about helping Japan.

I'm with you Dubya. As much as I want to help Japan, there's no way i'm buying an album with both John Lennon and Lady GaGa on it.

I'll just make a donation to Red Cross.

I agree with Dubya and Ritalynn. A poorly considered choice of music considering the circumstances, and especially LennonsImaginewhich has more to do with war and peace. I have already donated to the Japan Red Cross and through our schools charity drives.

I know japan has a love for Lennon, never been fond of Lady Gaga(but those are personal views).

Maybe controversial but Michael Jacksons "Heal the World" would have been good(better than Imagine, IMO) or similar songs.

Forgot to mention "I want to know what love is" would be good too.

I've donated directly but I can understand the choice of asking people other than the victims to empathise by imagining no possessions(Imagine)...
