Maki Goto announces first Avex release

Former Morning Musume singer Maki Goto, 23, has announced the release of a new mini-album, “Sweet Black” (release date: Sept 16), and her plans to start off on a serious solo career.

This will be her first CD release in two years. One track, “Tear Drops with KG,” will be featured as the theme song in a mobile phone drama “Onnya,” starring 23-year-old model Anne.

Goto joined the Avex label in June of last year, and this new album will be a fresh start for the songstress to pour her heart and soul into her music, she said in a statement.

From her recent videos, I can't imagine why her album should be titled anything but "SEX". I can't complain though, I will always love her...voice.

Never been interested in Goto Maki, though she was one of the only semi-original people in the disaster that was Morning Musume.

Saw her today at the A-Nation concert. The song was tripe, but she looked HOT live.
