Marie in love with Armani and Softbank’s new phone 'Night Effect'

Model Marie, 22, was dressed to the nines for a press conference held in Tokyo this week to announce the sale of Softbank’s new cell phone “Night Effect” – a tie-up with Italian fashion label Emporio Armani and manufactured by South Korean giant Samsung Electronics.

The phone carries the Armani logo on the back and has LEDs around its sides which light up in red, green and blue during calls or emails. It goes on sale Friday and comes with a price tag of 67,000 yen, but if consumers enter into a two-year contract with Softbank, the price comes down to around 19,000 yen.

Marie, who was dressed in some fine Armani fashion and was escorted on and off stage by male models, spoke of how her parents used to take her to Armani stores when she was smaller and how she has loved the brand since then.

Marie said she loves the eagle logo on the back and thought the LEDs on the sides were cool, adding: “If a see a guy in a nice suit pulling one of these things out, I’ll fall for him.”
