Masatoshi Nakamura and Nana Katase liven things up in school uniforms

TOKYO —
Masatoshi Nakamura, 58, and Nana Katase, 27, lead actors in the play “Boku-tachi no Suki Datta Kakumei,” turned up in school uniforms at a promotional event for the play this week. Of the 20 cast members who appeared, 13 actors and seven actresses took the stage in school uniforms, and the event became less an exhibition about the play than it did an exhibition of their “sailor-style” garb.
Nakamura was in good spirits at first, boasting, “I personally think the uniform suits me quite well,” but when asked toward the end of the conference about his oldest son Shunta, 31, who was arrested for possessing cannabis, the actor gave reporters the cold shoulder and left without further comment.
The play runs May 19-31 at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Space.

I'd give a cold shoulder and leave too if I'm there for a bit of fun and asked about that. It's something up to the police and the family, not for everyone else to know.

again the school uniform... what part of the brains is responsible for this idiosyncrasy?

This was just a little light hearted fun to promote the play yet the foreign fashion police have to have a go. Obviously the skirts are too short for the puritans tastes. As for the reporters they needed more that a cold shoulder, a bucket of cold water might have been better.

I agree with the last comment. It is not anyone else's business. I wish the media would leave him alone about it.
I have met and talked to Mr. Nakamura and he is a good, kind, and sincere person. I can only imagine what he is going through...
