Meisa Kuroki, Aoi Miyazaki win All Nippon Producers Awards

TOKYO —

Actresses Meisa Kuroki, 20, Erika Toda, 20, Aoi Miyazaki, 23, and actors Eita, 26, Shota Matsuda, 23, and Haruma Miura, 18, took out awards for best new performers for their roles in movies released and television dramas aired from December 2007 to November last year at the Elan d’or Awards for 2009. The awards were held by the All Nippon Producers Association in the Keio Plaza Hotel in Shinjuku.

Kuroki, who won for her work in Fuji TV’s “Kaze no gaaden” or “Garden of Wind” said on receiving the award: “I’ve never been happier. I’ve worked hard on my acting this past year.”

Kuroki is in a relationship with musician KEN, who lives in New York. “I hope he hears about this award,” she said. She also said with a smile that she hadn’t thought about sending KEN chocolates for Valentine’s Day.

i did a search and could not find any inappropriate pictures! its comforting to see that she didnt sell out early and didnt do the mandatory schoolgirl spread... there's even a picture of her as a nun.

i think she's the girl from the ANA china campaign. definetitely caught my eye that time.

Yes, she is. Her father is half-South American ad her mother is Japanese. Meisa really is a nice girl who acts mature for her age and she is also a talented actress in my opinion. I hope she'll keep doing a good job in acting.

For once the non-plastic ones get the credit. Kuroki (no relation to Hitomi - Meisa's name is real, Hitomi's name is stage), Aoi and Erika Toda do not underdress or overpowder their faces and are wholesome beauties you want to take home to Mom. More power to them!

P.S. I thought Meisa Kuroki was a stage name: I knew that her name actually was Satsuki Shimabukuro.
