'Mezamashi TV' anchor Otsuka sends message from hospital

TOKYO —
Norikazu Otsuka, the anchor of Fuji TV’s popular morning news and variety program “Mezamashi TV,” phoned in a message to the program from his hospital on Monday morning.
Otsuka, 63, who has acute lymphocytic leukemia, has been in hospital since last week, told the anchors that he was doing fine, despite having a catheter in his neck and taking anticancer drugs.
He said he hopes to be back on the air next March or April.

I hope he gets better. Watch Mezamashi every morning, and it's weird not seeing him. I still think he looks a bit like an Oompa Loompa though.
