Mikitty shows her housework skills

Mikitty shows her housework skills
Miki Fujimoto

TOKYO —

Actress Miki Fujimoto, 25, appeared at a press event commemorating the 1st anniversary of the release of Glico’s Calorie Control Ice Cream. The company recently re-released the best-selling sundae-cup type, which has 80 calories a cup.

Fujimoto, popularly known as Mikitty, put on an apron and did a number of household chores on stage as a part of the presentation. Fujimoto said she usually does all the housework herself, including washing over 100 tank tops that are part of her comedian husband Tomoharu Shoji’s on-stage act.

After five minutes of housework on the stage, the sweat-covered Fujimoto calculated her calorie loss at just 19.6 calories.

“In the summer, you eat a lot if you aren’t getting a proper nutritional balance. I think I need to pay attention to my calorie consumption from now on,” she said before turning her attention to the ice cream. “This ice cream is plenty sweet. At just 80 calories, I could eat it every day.”

Last month, Fujimoto celebrated her 1st wedding anniversary with comedian Tomoharu Shoji. “People tell me that one day I’ll get tired of him,” she confided. “But I’m still having a lot of fun. We have a good relationship.”

She was later hear to utter, "...or every meal... heck! I can go through a case of these a day because the cups are so small! Doing my husband's laundry is a never-ending chore because he goes through 100 tank-tops a night. Don't get me STARTED on how many undershorts he uses a night! I probably burn 15000 calories a day just because he can't keep a shirt on his back for longer than five minutes."

Well, I've decided who I'm siding with when the divorce comes through. Gets his woman to do 100 shirts. Good job man!

I thought Miki Ando was Mikitty?

Ah yes, the J-girl's criteria for a good relationship. Happy Fun Time.

I had one of these before. It wasn't very good. If I'm going to spend the calories anyway, I might as well eat an ice cream that tastes good.

There is so much wrong with this snippet. Is part of her husband's comedy routine that he has no hands? Why can't he do laundry? Why are they using housework to promote low-calorie ice cream? If a woman is doing several loads of laundry per day, certainly she can afford to eat real ice cream. And I look forward to the ad campaign showing one of those overly skinny guys hurrying around doing housework so he can reward himself with terrible ice cream.

What's so hard in washing? I --as a man-- wash "all" my clothing inclusive "all" my daily dress shirts "all" by myself (even iron them) . Its "all" not that hard anymore since the washing machine was invented

(I assume she has one on these washing machines)

In also assume she has one of those washing machine, mist likely one of the big ones that can take 7+KG.

Doing the washing and hanging(not needed if the washer has a dryer) isn't that tough, now if she hand-irons them too she gets my respect.

Housework is not that tough or time-consuming once you got a daily and weekly rythm installed. Dishes in the sink, not in my household most get washed while I cook and only got a few left after eating.

Let stuff pile up it becomes a pain.

Yeah, it's a much better relationship when all involved are miserable.

    Hang on....no it's not.

I'm sure she'll love doing that time after time for her unfunny husband.

This ice cream is plenty sweet. At just 80 calories, I could eat it every day.

According to Glico's website this product contains maltitol and sucralose as artificial sweeteners. Maltitol has laxative effect when used excessively. Sucralose reduces good bacteria in the intestines when consumed regularly.

Although they are a better alternative to sugar or corn syrup they shouldn't be consumed every day.

A much better approach would be trying to stop sweet cravings.

100 tank tops? I have seen this dude and he is not funny...but all the tank tops look the same...so 1 tank top per week which relates to 100 weeks. 52 weeks in a year. This chick probably cannot even remember how to turn the machine on. Does she send her stuff and the rest of the comedy boy's stuff out to the local cleaner? Cab she cook? Can she change the sheet on a futon? That takes a high IQ/ so annoying to do.
