Yuck! Yuck! Yuck! Women and men who feel the need to shock like this don't seem to realize that they aren't shocking so much as they are annoying and disgusting. Miley didn't invent raunch or sex and the sooner she realizes that the sooner she can get around to shocking us with her talent instead of with her childish attempts at attention.

To some extent you are right. However, it was Cyrus that was rubbing her backside against his crotch and diddling herself with the giant finger. Thicke is an accomplice but not the person that instigated her dreadful "performance".

Sex sells if delivered correctly. Ex Disney star....not the best combination. Mimicking Madonna, not a good idea. Acting slutty, few want to see that.

Normally I'd agree with you about the double standards but, as was said, she was the one doing all the nasty crap while he looked genuinely uncomfortable at times. As for Robin Thicke being vilified, his song Blurred Lines has been banned from a number of universities and came under heavy criticism as being a "rapey" song:

Just a train wreck in the making is all

Made bit of history myself today: tried non-oil salad dressing for the first time. We're quite a pair, Miley and me!

I think they misquoted her. She said, 'I aimed to make an ass of myself onstage.'

She looked ridiculous. She obviously is trying very hard to make that difficult jump from child star to adult star, but I think the main problem is, she looked stupid, not sexy. She wasn't properly "twerking" (which actually may be a good thing)., she can't dance, her ass is flat, and her tongue was coated white (constipated?). Whatever it was, it was an embarrassment

When Miley Cyrus performs these types of tasteless and provocative exhibitions, she only diminishes her appeal with folks such as myself.

Maria, I'm sorry, but did I blink and miss the part where Robin crudely has sex with a giant foam finger? Oh WAIT, that was all Cyrus, like every other raunchy move she planned, was her own volition and had nothing to do with Robin. After watching Miley's recent music videos you can tell those were all her own moves.

It doesn't matter what is written or said, good or bad about people who want a lot of publicity, the fact is she got loads of publicity FREE. Look at all the posts, people who were not interested before are going to tune in and see what the buzz is about. She will pick up more record sales and fans than she loses.
