TOKYO —
Model and actress Misako Yasuda, 27, was a sight to behold this week when she was dressed up as a female security guard in Roppongi to promote convenience store am/pm’s “Sugoi Matsuri” campaign which begins on Monday.
Yasuda was flanked by two other “guards” as she showed off the grand prize of the campaign – a mouth-watering 10 million yen in cold hard cash. Customers at am/pm will be eligible to enter the lottery for the prize, as well as other prizes such as plasma TVs, by filling out forms in-store. The winner of the grand prize can choose between having the cash delivered to their home in a General Motors’ Hummer, or deposited directly in their bank account.
Until the end of the campaign period on Aug 30, various items in-store will be lowered in price and the volume of certain boxed lunches will increase, in an effort by am/pm to help cast off the shackles of the recent economic gloom.
Yasuda said that if she won the 10 million yen, she would use it to open a restaurant with a good friend of hers in Kyoto. She also sampled and gave the thumbs up to am/pm’s new Premium Beef Curry, which goes on sale on June 30 for 498 yen. One reporter then asked Yasuda how her human “curry” was, making a delicious pun on the Japanese word for he or him (“kare”).
Yasuda, who is currently seeing actor Yu Shirota, 23, said their relationship was coming along nicely.

"human "curry"... a delicious pun"
Hee hee!
"The winner of the grand prize can choose between having the cash delivered to their home in a General Motors' Hummer, or deposited directly in their bank account."
The first choice isn't very green, is it?
Misako is a total babe.

Misako Yasuda was one of my favorite idols a few years ago. Here is some of the best footage of her:

Then you need help or a better role model for women in your life. Checked out the video you posted here. Seems like this girl is just an idiot that would do anything for money. Not the kind of girl I want my daughter watching on TV and possibly growing up to emulate.

This is what I'm talking about, finally a company giving away good prizes and cash and not just "you can win a basket of oranges".

Who in the hell said anything about Misako Yasuda being a role model? Or that is was looking for one among Japanese gravure idols? Take a chill pill. This is a thread for people to have a little fun with, not solve all the ills of Japan in one fell swoop.

Presto, yeah. I'm sure you would tell her to get her ugly self out of your sight if she confessed her love for you.

I tend to agree with "harmoneeikaiwa" comments about the legs - they look like they came from a rugby front row...
