Model Marie wins 'Gold Make-Up Award'

TOKYO —

Model Marie, 20, has been given the “Gold Make-Up Award” by the Japan Make-Up Association in Tokyo. The association said her fashion and hairstyles contributed to new trends among young people. Marie won in the Mode Fashion category.

Receiving her award, Marie said, “I spend only 10-15 minutes on make-up everyday. But make-up and fashion always motivate me. I think it’s important to make myself look cool all the time.” She added, “I would like to go on a date with perfect make-up. But I don’t have anyone to do so with.”

From this photo it is hard to see why she got the award. I know women who spend only 10-15 minutes, and those who spend more than 30 minutes on making themselves up. You can see the difference! Fashion and hairstyles contributing to . . .? I see nothing new or original, sorry, Marie.

Marie is the poster child for how Japanese are crazy about "cerebu" and "hafu" and based on the convergence of these two factors, don't really care that she is a pompous dimwit and frankly, not even that attractive to people who aren't obsessed with hafus.
