TOKYO —

Model Nozomi Sasaki, 20, will regularly appear as “Euro Queen” in satellite broadcaster WOWOW’s new program “Discover! UEFA EURO 2008TM” on Saturday nights. Sasaki, who is popular among teenagers, will be appearing on nationwide TV for the first time.

She says, “To be honest, I’m not familiar with soccer but I’ll learn and enjoy it. She also said that she prefers “fascinating players rather than cool ones, such as Gattuso rather than Ronaldo.”

  Good for Sasaki chan, a beautiful and talented model. She's no different than any other celebrity or model the world over who promotes sports or other events or items they are not familiar with. Hardly a Japanese only thing.
