TOKYO —

Pop group Morning Musume started rehearsals this week for its new musical “Cinderella the Musical” in collaboration with Takarazuka Revue. In the musical, Ai Takahashi, 21, leader of the group, plays the role of Cinderella. She said, “The rehearsal is going well. I hope the musical will be enjoyable for everyone of all ages.”

The musical will run at Shinjuku Koma Theater in Tokyo from August 6 to 25. Tickets will be available from Sunday.
