Nail Queens for 2014 announced

The latest end-of-year awards, “Nail Queens (and King) 2014,” were announced Monday at the Nail Expo held at Tokyo Big Sight. The honor is given by the Japan Nailist Association to celebrities with the best nail art.

This year’s winners are figure skater Miki Ando, 26 (Sports category), Mirei Kiritani, 24 (Actress category), May J, 26 (Recording Artist category), Youn-A, 29 (Modeling category), Rola, 24 (Talent category), Naomi Kawashima, 54 (Special category), and Matsuya Onoe, 29 (Men's category).

More meaningless awards heaped upon other meaningless awards. Stay tuned for the eyebrow-plucking queen awards, the most wax-free ear canals queen awards, and don't forget the best removed calluses queen awards.

But not as bad as the award that goes to the person who looks best in fur (nobody looks good wearing a dead animal). Ryoko Yonekura won that one year. Idiocy.

They also have one for who looks good in jeans.
