I so want this to not suck. I am still feeling the disappointment from 1999.....never again.

I don't know. This looks like it's going to suck.

Disney movie they won't screw up will cost them a lot to loose.

Looking forward to this, but to say Disney won't screw up, well... there was "John Carter" (a $200 million write-off), "The Lone Ranger," oh and the most recent flop, "Tomorrowland," which cost $350 million (including marketing costs) and has so far drummed up $208 million, including international markets.

That said, I think the trailer looks pretty good. The director is certainly familiar with the mythology. Hopefully it won't come out looking like a "Star Trek" sequel!

Already the gossip-machine is running full force with many people assuming Kylo Ren is Luke Skywalker.

Damn, this movie will surely break all the box office records..

I have a feeling it's gonna get so hyped up that it will be impossible to meet the hype

OK, I'm a bit excited. Allow me to frame it a little.

Very, very remote and rural Western Australia. My Dad takes his family to the local drive in to watch this new sic-fi film called Star Wars. I was just 6 years old. The sky out there is a deep, deep black and the Milky Way absolutely luminous like no-where else. The adverts roll on through, the previews, then the screen goes black, the preamble rolls on up the screen and then out of the Milky Way night one of those massive Imperial cruisers emerges. The 6 year old Tamarama loses his mind. It's something I'll never forget. Loved the Original 3, can't remember how many times I watched them on VHS as a kid. I know the tape ended up dying.

I cringed through the 3 more recent episodes. Stiff, wooden, humourless performances - none of the original magic. No spark.

Bit the 6 year old in me is a little pumped. The trailer looks good to me. I'll watch it.

Now that George Lucas has minimal input into these new films, I have high expectations.

I wonder if people watch "The Hidden Fortress" and appreciate its contribution to this series.

"The trailer also gave fans their first look at Carrie Fisher who is reprising her role as Princess Leia"

I don't see her in this trailer...

I don't see her in this trailer...

She is in there, but only for a second, getting a hug from Han.

@rainyday

Thanks, I see her now, the hug from Han is at 1:56 - don't blink or you'll miss it! lol
