Nippon TV announcers perform debut single in Santa outfits

TOKYO —

Nippon TV announcers Nana Suzue, 28, Hélène Hayama, 26, and Miku Natsume, 24, performed their debut single “Together at Christmas” in the Nitere Plaza in Shiodome on Sunday, dressed in Santa costumes.

The girls formed a group called go!go!girls to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the founding of Nippon Television Network Corporation. The song is a cover of the theme song used in the Nippon TV production “Happy X’mas Show 06,” and was written and sung by Mariya Takeuchi, who attended the recording of the cover.

Hayama told reporters all three girls will be working over Christmas, and said: “We won’t have to spend Christmas alone.”

neverknow2, what does the big fat coke character has to do with christianity? The real one is supposed to be a saint but nobody cares about his origins.

All over the world xmas is nothing more than a family or friends gathering with exchange of presents, consumerism at is best. So why not Japan?
