TOKYO —
A singing group of five middle-aged men, which was formed in for the popular TBS soap opera “Wataruseken wa onibakari,” announced this week that they will release an album.
The group, called “Oyaji band,” will release their album “Dreams at that time” on Nov 5. The band is formed by actors Takuzo Kadono, 60, Kotaro Yamamoto, 60, B-saku Sato, 59, Takehiro Murata, 48, and Takashi Inoue, 47.
Vocalist-guitarist Kadono said, “We’re really having fun. It’s just like acting. If possible, I would like us to participate in NHK’s annual Red & White Singing Contest.”
