I was just listening to the Live at Pompeii CD at work last week and made a mental note of the beautiful piano work on Us and Them to a co-worker.

    RIP Rick and thank you.

I'm a lifelong PF fan and Rick Wright's loss is a sad one indeed.

But I have to say to Taka - making a mental note to a co-worker?! Syd Barrett would be proud of you.

This is sad. I've known Pink Floyd for over 25 years and finally saw them in Oakland, CA in 1989. Though I wasn't a huge fan of Wright specifically, losing any member of Pink Floyd is very sad indeed. I haven't been upset about the loss recent loss of a musician since Johnny Cash, Warren Zevon and, recently, Jeff Healey died.

    NagoyaOya,

Very nice. Thanks for the chuckle. You got me. I made the mental note to tell a co-worker.

Again, good one. Yeah, I'm sure Syd would be proud. ;-)

I was just listening to "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" yesterday. Maybe my favorite sone of their. Love the six-minute intro! Not a song to listen to if you're in a hurry. The moon-flutey keyboard sound is a bit squishy, but overall, they gel so amazingly on that song.
