Great. When are SMAP and AKB48 et all going to do the same?

Please note that SMAP and AKB48 have already done numerous fundraising concerts and events in Japan to raise money for the Tohoku region.

They might not work for free, but SMAP members donated over 4-oku Yen off their own money to the Disaster fund.

I think it is great SMAP donated that money. However, I believe they got paid for their charity concert efforts . If I am mistaken, I stand corrected. However, I believe the money donated by foreign and foreign based entertainers does indeed surpass the local talent pool. I wish there was more of an effort such as being shown in this article. I also wish the money would actually get to the people that need it. Where has all the money gone so far?

Always nice to hear about charitable projects like this. I feel bad for saying this but I was actually shocked to read that Edward Albee is still alive.
