TOKYO —
Maki Goto, 22, who is an ex-member of the popular group Morning Musume, has updated her official blog for the first time since her brother was arrested for stealing last October. Goto withdrew from various music projects with other female groups and artists all produced by music producer Tsunku over the case.
Goto, who is currently staying in Los Angeles, said on the blog that she will soon resume her activities. “I’m very sorry for the trouble my brother caused and for pulling out of ‘Hello! Project.’ It’s been a struggle, but I have decided to move on to the next step.”

"Got withdrew from various music projects.." I'm no editor but I think 'Got' should be 'Goto'

Im pretty interested in this news, not like some people seems to be. Her blog said she's in LA right now. Improving on her dancing and singing. At least she's doing something that could improve her career. I'm a bit surprised that she's learning crumping style of dance. Wierd.

I'm outraged that she didn't stop her adult brother pinching stuff from construction sites under the cover of night.

I am similarly outraged - how dare she allow her adult brother to do this! All her ancestors and descendants carry the shame of this

Her brother was a better singer once he got in that police cell :) ay-aya-aya-yah, yoh ha!

I remember someone calculating that at the current rate, by 2050 every female in Japan will be ex-MoMusu.
Isn't this going to the US act standard lying low behaviour whenever you (or in this case your brother) do something naughty like get arrested, your girlfriend preggers, etc?

Exalted? I'd rather they be buried, exhumed and re-buried --permanently.

Maybe if I get caught stealing bags of cement from the underpass construction on Yamate Dori tonight then my wife might stop prancing around on TV in a schoolgirls outfit....
