Rei Dan, Ryuta Sato chosen as Best Formalists

TOKYO —
Actress Rei Dan, 40, and actor Ryuta Sato, 31, were chosen as this year’s Best Formalists, an award given to those celebrities who look the best in formal wear.
Dan registered her marriage to Mitsuhiro Oikawa, 42, in July, but they haven’t had a formal wedding ceremony or reception yet. Asked what she was planning to wear to the formal wedding ceremony, Dan told reporters that she would like to wear both traditional Japanese and Western-style wedding dresses.
As for when the wedding ceremony will be, Dan said, “I’m very busy with work right now, so it’s better to ask my agency.”

The danger here is that the Japanese expression Best Formalists, here being used directly mixed in with the English, is missing those vital quotation marks which should have let us know that we are not losing our brainpans.
