The original film was set in the distant future of 2019, meaning that they waited so long to make the sequel that they almost caught up with their own timeframe. I guess this also means Deckerd wasn't a replicant after all.
Also, no Sean Young reprising her role?

I remember being spellbound by the original. I am apprehensive about a sequel. I hope it is not like the disappointment of "2010," compared to "2001".
