Rie Miyazawa to star in Ibsen's 'A Doll's House'

TOKYO —

Actress Rie Miayazawa, 35, will star in the stage production of “A Doll’s House” at Shibuya Theatre Cocoon in Tokyo in September.

Miyazawa will play the role of Nora, the wife of lawyer Helmer. The story, written in 1879 by Norwegian playwright Henrik Ibsen, is famous for its portrayal of the beginning of the feminism movement. In Japan, it was first staged in 1911.
