Rinka becomes Cinderella with new Disney Mobile phone

TOKYO —
Model Rinka, 36, wore a stunning pink gown to a press event held by Disney Mobile—a tie-up between Walt Disney Japan and Softbank Mobile—this week to promote the company’s fifth cell phone.
Rinka appears in the upcoming commercial in the back of a taxi with the cell phone in her hand, and is transformed into a pretty-in-pink princess galavanting about in a horse-drawn carriage. “I really felt like Cinderella,” she said, looking back at the filming.
David Milstein, vice president of Disney Mobile, also attended the event and presented Rinka with a special diamond-encrusted cell phone. Rinka said she wouldn’t drop it.
Rinka, who married a man outside the celebrity loop in January this year, also commented on the frequency with which they exchange mails. “It might have dropped off a bit compared to before we were married. But we still mail each other at least once a day.”
The new commercial airs from Friday, and the new cell phone (DM005SH) goes on sale the same day.
