I like Krishna Guru-Murthy, he's a quick-witted, smart, knowledgeable guy. He's probably bored, and needs to get more into investigative journalism and serious topics.

I watched a bunch of videos about this and Guru-Murthy was warned several times that time was running out and he'd best ask a question. Then he asked a long question without a question. That 'free of all that' and then, probably well-timed, Downey's assistant said time was up. Downey didn't walk out as in he didn't want to talk about it. He kept asking Guru-Murthy for a question, then time ended, and he left.

Downey warned him off personal topics more than once, actually. At one point he says something like, "Are we promoting a movie here?" and at the end by explanation of why he's leaving tells them it was getting a little Diane Sawyer, i.e., too personal. So he didn't want to talk about it. You can tell he's getting upset by the way his breathing rate increases, but he manages to keep his head and get out of there before blowing up. Guru-Murthy has been quoted as saying he's about journalism, not entertainment reporting which leads me to wonder why his bosses send him to interview people on PR junkets for movies. Quentin Tarantino famously shut him down for overplaying his hand one time, too. He's pompous and full of himself and he thrives on ambushing people to MAKE stories like this one. Mission accomplished. Grandstanding but hardly journalism. Well done, Mr. Downey, Jr. As Tarantino said, don't be this guy's monkey and dance to his tune.

I like RDJ. He's a great actor. Some of his best stuff was before he put on the iron suit. And when he did, he basically saved Marvell's butt.
I wish him the best and hope he can avoid further tools like this so called interviewer. RDJ should have been so nice to the guy.

British television journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy is completely out of it. Watching Downey check with his people four or five times as Krishnan blunders through his 'deep background' anyone could tell Krishnan has no sense of what he's doing. Downey is doing the press junket and Krishnan is off channeling James Lipton, badly.
