TOKYO —
Actress Ryoko Yonekura, 34, officially started the holiday season at Roppongi Hills on Wednesday, lighting up the 520,000 white and blue bulbs of the area’s Christmas display.
The star wore a beige Armani dress with around 60 million yen worth of Christmas-themed jewelry. She looked on over the illuminated lights saying, “It’s really mysterious and calming.”
Yonekura said she would spend her Christmas this year, “having a party with friends after working on the radio.”

What was mysterious and calming? The dress, jewelry, lights, or all of it?

The Japanese have no idea what Christmas is and yet they pay some useless actress to look pretty (or not so much) and push a button. I do enjoy the Christmas lights though

I'll wait until December 24, if you don't mind.

"The Japanese have no idea what Christmas is"
Neither do most westerners. For most people, Christmas is lights, decorations, Christmas music, turkey or ham, and presents, lol.

Her radio must have a serious malfunction is she is planning to work on it all through November and most of December. Then, when its finally working she must find a station that plays music and is not all talk.

I wonder if they put that Xmas tree made out of lilies up again this year. That was really impressive and it smelled so good.
