Yeah, again...
Aaaaagh! Why don't people know that "nukes" doesn't mean nuclear power?? It means nuclear weapons. This makes my blood boil!!! And why use English? It's a Japanese issue. I don't see how a bunch of signs in Engrish helps your cause.

@Probie... Sheesh. If you live in Japan your blood must be in a constant boil, then.
FYI, the word "nukes" in today's usage does and can indeed mean both nuclear weapons and nuclear power (and power plants). Clinging to the antiquated notion that they are separate, without any relation, is exactly what the powers that be want you to believe. They are intimately connected, nuclear power an afterthought of nuclear weapons design. Re: Japan, there has been lots of speculation as to the true reasons for wanting to process and store so much plutonium, with the ability to quickly make nuclear weapons just one of the theories proposed.
Seriously, to have one's blood boil over such a trivial matter as a word suggests there's something deeper going on, as Stuart hayward points hints. It might be good to loosen up a bit and realize that people expressing an anti-nuke sentiment is the main point here. Who cares how the signs are spelled or wording used.

You can potentially make nuclear weapons out of it. Isn't that why they're stockpiling plutonium?
Anyway Kraftwek used to included the lyrics:
"Chernobyl-l-l-l Harrisburg-g-g-g Sellafield-d-d-d Hiroshima-a-a-a
Chain reaction and mutation Contaminated population (Stop) Radioactivity Is in the air for you and me"
in their song "Radioactivity" during live concerts. I guess they have to swap "Hiroshima" with "Fukushima" now. Now this song sounds even sadder than before.

Sakamoto and Kraftwerk a great combo, they should make a record together.

There was a beautiful sweet naive moment, that lasted for about 3 days, back in the 1960s when it seemed like if we could all just get together for a concert of not one but several of our favorite bands, and get really excited about it, then the whole world would change.
Now it is evident it is just a pr event. Still probably worth doing, and fun for the fans.

I wonder if they added "Fukushima" to the lyrics

No scientific evidence for mutation.

It is interesting that with this being a concert, we could have a fairly solid number of attendees - but this has not been advertised.
Strange.
