Satomi Ishihara desires image change

TOKYO —

Actress Satomi Ishihara, 25, says she would like to alter her image a bit and become more conspicuous by changing her hair color.

Ishihara and “talent” George Tokoro, 56, attended an event this week to promote Japan Gateway’s new hair care and scalp care product. The two will appear in commercials for the brand.

Ishihara has always had black hair, but said she now wants to bleach her hair like Tokoro. “I’m looking for a TV or movie role that will let me change my hair to a brighter color,” she said.

Why not just bleach your hair and put on a wig for your roles?

I think she should dye her eyebrows and underarm hair for a much better effect with a medium promotion.

I agree with Wolfpack - don't do it! Her jet-black hair is beautiful!

"she would like to become... more conspicuous"

She's already conspicuous with that beautiful jet-black hair!

She's always had black hair, huh? Imagine that! I would have never guessed.

    “talent” George Tokoro, 56,

Yup, a guy who makes millions of yen based on his "fame" from being able to balance different styles of eye glasses on his forehead.

@Elbuda, you are lucky having students like that. All mine want to learn English.

I agree with Serrano. These days it is the young women with very dark hair who stand out the most (especially without looking garish).

I am sorry but if they advertise hair products, at least they should have chosen a man with beautiful hair. I prefer men either bald or with short cropped hair but in Japan fashion is different and men have long hair, so if they advertise for the Japanese market, they should choose a man with real naturally abundant hair. George Tokoro is more bold than having hair.

'George's' hair color is certainly very natural looking. Perhaps she should color hers the same color.

Oops. She already suggested that herself! Anyway, I like the black color better.

I'm not fond of either one in the picture....But! How do you call her an actress and call Tokoro Geoge a "talent". Sounds kind of disrespectful to me.

She's pretty, if you're good looking you can pull of crazy looks (bleached hair?! omg) and image changes.
