Schick Japan promotes new product with cheeky 'Zero Gravity Dream Shaving' video

German shaving brand Schick is top dog in Japan when it comes to safety razors, and its products can be found in just about any supermarket or pharmacy. Recently, in order to promote its relaxing “dream shave” experience and newest model of disposable razor, the Quattro 5 Titanium, Schick Japan has released the following promotional video, which sees one lucky young man take a zero-gravity flight with two bikini-clad models in order to try the razor out.

Hmmm… Pretty girls tumbling about in slow motion while squirting foam. You think anyone would watch that?

The premise of the saucy video is simple. A young man is joined by a pair of smiley models on a free-fall flight to experience zero-gravity. With the trio floating about the cabin, they open up their cans of shaving foam, squirt some about for good measure and then lather the bum-fluff bachelor up for his dream shave. Only, it doesn’t end quite as we had expected.

It is here, however, that this man’s “dream shave” experience suddenly differs quite drastically from our own. All lathered up and ready to remove those pesky bristles, instead of letting them do the hard work for him, the young man inexplicably breaks away from the pretty pair and… shaves himself.

And then it’s all over. Both the shaver and his companions look thrilled with his smooth face.

Schick is also currently running a prize draw, offering 1,000 people the chance to win shaving goods simply by taking part in a short survey. So if you speak Japanese and are feeling a little bit furry, head over to the company’s official website and try your luck.

"Would you like to do a commercial with two cute girls in white bikinis in zero gravity with shaving cream?"

"Well, let me think about that for a minute....."

Yes. I'm all about bikini-clad girls and squirting.

Call me a prude, but I find this to be pretty demeaning to women. There are plenty of other places for men to watch T&A, there is no need to put it in commercials that will ultimately be viewed by the whole family.

The women were wearing appropriate clothing to show how well the razor had worked on them too.

A fitting finale to my morning tea. You have my thanks.

@OssanAmerica 'How come the guy isn't in his underwear too?'

He likely didn't need (or want) to shave anything but his face.

After watching the video I want to play with these two girls.

Wait a minute... the Schick "Quattro 5?" I'm confused.

Hentai!!!! I can just imagine all the sexual devos watching this frame by frame!

Thank you so much JT

Sex sells and will do as long as women and men have hormones. Thankfully!

But is the shaver really good? Personally I dislike all the triple/quadro/whatnot blade shavers because they are too bulky. I want my old Gilette Sensor back but can buy blades anywhere for it now.

Now if he would have cut his face while shaving, it would be interesting to see the blood come out at zero gravity.

How was I not given n audition for this casting? My agent is so fired...

I just bought 10. I dunno why. Maybe this commercial had something to do with it. When I saw the shaver and the cream at the shop, I saw pretty girls in my head.. I dunno why.

I want to buy it NOW! Bless you JT for putting out the best article of this year! This is the reason why I always say, shaving wet is 1000x better than if you shave dry. That guy is probably the luckiest guy in the world! I'm jealous! Looks like he had a blast and people make light when people say, "Sex sells!"

I can't stand that brand, leaves half the beard with each stroke.

Oh Jesus, hope he got paid well for this. Seriously, just think about it, all those camera angles and stuff, and you only have about 1 minute of zero G in these practice runs. He must have had to endure this for a few hours.

@kobuta chan

Yep, vastly better than playing with yourself.

For years I used 100 yen shop razors until I discovered Schick Hydro 5, with 5 blades. Not only does this razor give an incredibly smooth shave, it keeps on doing so for a good 3 months, making it cheaper than the 10 yen shop razors! I swear I only change the blade every 3 months! Yer all welcome!

That guy has lots to smile about, least of which is his close shave!

German? Schick is a Wilkinson Sword brand, a British company. (And Mr Schick himself was an American.)

I hate shaving....I almost always end up with toilet paper stuck to my face when I am done...does not matter what razor I use.

As for the picture.....the woman on the right is breathtaking.

Schick , and Wilkinson Sword, are both brands of Energizer. Energizer is an American Company based in Missouri.

Demeaning women? Of course, this is a Japanese CM. It also seem the Japanese influence is many a male into sukebe.

"I hate shaving....I almost always end up with toilet paper stuck to my face when I am done...does not matter what razor I use."

You get toilet paper stuck to your face when you shave?

Forgot to mention - the 100 yen shop razors usually last no more than 2 weeks, whilst the Schick Hydro 5 blade, which gives a way better shave, lasts for 3 months.

Does this razor squirt a lubricant, like the Hydro 5?

I agree with "Personally I dislike all the triple/quadro/whatnot blade shavers because they are too bulky."

I am just about okay with triple, just, but even with a triple it makes shaving the area beneath my nose tricky because it is too bulky to move in that area without cutting my lips or nose. I think that they want to sell more expensive blades. I see that the Hydro 5 has a "flip trimmer for hard to reach grooming" Perhaps this is the answer. I use a vibrating Gillette triple (Mach 3 turbo) at the moment.

I seem to not get bloody if I shave in the shower.

Never liked Schick

" Hmmm… Pretty girls tumbling about in slow motion while squirting foam. You think anyone would watch that? "

No, of course not! Who would think so?

0 ( +0 / -0 )

So why did I see it only on here? I admit not watching Japanese TV much but my wife has it on all the time and I would notice this CM if I saw it.

-2 ( +0 / -2 )

@HanaNoca

Energiser might own Wilkinson Sword/Schick, but that doesn't stop Wilkinson Sword being a British company.

Anyway, no idea why JT thinks it's a German brand
