Hope Scorsese doesn't ignore the scenes in the Oval Office with Monika Lewinsky. That was the only action during Clinton's entire 8 years in office. The problem with an all-access documentary is that you're at the mercy of the people giving access. The Harrison documentary was good, but it was too close to hagiography. With Clinton, this will be doubly problematic.

Hope Scorsese doesn't ignore the scenes in the Oval Office with Monika Lewinsky.

What I wouldn't give to have Scorcese have Joe Pesci play Clinton in this scene, with Monica flirting with Clinton by complementing a funny story he told while reminiscing his campaign against Bob Dole.

Lewinsky: It's funny, you know. It's a good story, it's funny, you're a funny guy. [laughs] Clinton: What do you mean, you mean the way I talk? What? Lewinsky: It's just, you know. You're just funny, it's... funny, the way you tell the story and everything. Clinton: [it becomes quiet] Funny how? What's funny about it? [another long pause] Clinton: You'd better have that dress cleaned, now gettttoudda heeeerrreee!

Pretty sure Scorcese would never allow the incident to go uncovered but will certainly have their own careful twist as approved by Clinton. Quite surprising to learn that Clinton was this much of an exhibitionist willing to take all the chances with the public, his wife and family and all.

I think Scorsese will do a good job on the film. And I agree that Clinton is a towering figure, he did put the U.S on a growth track whilst in office and Conflicts atound the globe were at their lowest whilst he was President. Who cares so much about the lewinsky affair? Nobodys perfect but at least in term of political figures Clinton was one of the better ones the world has had.

Edojin- if u label 8 years of economic growth and prosperity as nothing happening, perhaps you need to get priorities straight. Would starting WW3 put Clinton in your good graces?
