I nominate Matsumura-san, the cinema manager, as the next PM. He truly understands the meaning of democracy and freedom of expression, and that "discussion" is a healthy thing. You don't have to agree with everything in the film. That is the choice of the viewer. Likewise, you don't have to agree with everything shouted by the guys in the sound-trucks in order to be "patriotic". Too bad most of the LDP heavyweights don't understand this.

I haven't the faintest idea if this a good flick, impartial, insightful or any meets any other criteria. What I do know is the manager of the house has testicular fortitude and I admire him for it. Well done!

good job. Imagine how it would be in the US if thearters decided to not show any of the Micheal Moore films. All hell would break loose about how "Bush and Co" are stopping him.

Good on this thearter owner. You may not agree with the film, but at least hear the other side out. Learn what they are thinking and then have a discussion about the issue like mature adults.

Always knew they had more cojones in Osaka than any other region in Japan.

And as for gutless Tokyoites.... embarrassing.

I'm so embarassed. This reflects very poorly on the whole metropolis of Tokyo.

Let's here it for Osaka. A theater shows a controverisal movie, and this theater happens to be in Osaka. Doesn't it just make you proud of the whole place. I'm sure Osaka is proud of it's own. Well most of them.

So, Nanagei in Juso will show it. No wonder. They have always been very open-minded and they are often giving their chances to interesting movies. In this area, the neighbours are not afraid of anybody.

You are probably from east of Tokyo. Chiba.

Hooray for Osaka! There's probably plenty of people in Osaka who won't like the film, but maybe they're strong enough to disagree with it without getting into a snit. And really, what would Japan be if a few black vans didn't roll by, blasting awful music?

p.s., Alphaape, the scenario you described partially happened.

outhouse, actually I'm moving to Chiba next week! Will have to make it westchiba or something. Do you live in an outhouse?

It's good people will be able to see this film and decide for themselves, as opposed to some morons forcing their views on everybody else.
