Singer-actress Seiko Matsuda, 52, is the "campaign face" for the 2015 Toyota Camry Hybrid. A new TV commercial campaign featuring Matsuda began airing on Wednesday.
In the commercial, she travels with her husband to Nikko, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Japan, in a Camry. At Nikko, she imitates the three famous carved monkeys on the stable there: "Kikazaru (Hear no evil), Iwazaru (Speak no evil), Mizaru (See no evil)."
Matsuda's song "Only One for Me" is the commercial's theme song.
After filming the commercial, Matsuda said: "It was my first visit to Nikko Toshogu Shrine and it was magnificent. I think it's a splendid idea to go driving and enjoy quiet time with one's wife or husband."

Many of those Japanese women age so well! Don't smoke, don't praise the sun and good genes!

still burikko in her 50's

She looks older than 52. Her voice is still young though.

Famous singer-actress, 52, known as the "Eternal Idol" in Japan and never been to Nikko? Yeah, right!

with all the makeup and TBC on the video, anyone will look good, let me see her in the morning before she wake up and spend two hours pasting her face, then i'll talk.

The CM says "couple", but they don't show the husband. I wonder who it is. I know she is very 80s, but we gays still lover her! You can still hear her songs sung at bars all around ni-chome.

"She looks older than 52"
Bwa ha ha ha ha ha ha ha, so she looks, what, 56? She does in fact look more like 32.

Its not just Japanese Women, Far Eastern Asian Women in general tend to be better looking than their Western Modern day Equivalents - (And I say, "in general") - perhaps it's the humidity from being in proximity to the Sea in our hot Climate, that helps with this ?
But, looks are just Superficial... what sometimes also matters, is the Person behind those looks (or lack of), the excessive Effeminate Persona that some affect in Asia (particularly in Japan) is somewhat degrading of Women, yet it appears to be expected;

There was more make up on her personality than her face. Does "cute cute" still work at 52!? It's annoying enough at 16.

I have to agree that she is not able to pull off the burikko routine anymore. Her heyday was back in the 80's so she is well past her prime. Hey, that's just life. She is the undisputed idol of all idols. She was certainly very cute back in the day but just a classy looking obasan now. If you want an idol that has held up well over the years I'd say it's Moritaka Chisato. She is a lovely lady.

As for the haters, count me in.
Matsuda and her buriko pop crap is just about everything wrong with Japan.

She looks OK under strong lights, but check out her neck. The neck never lies. Good for 52, but she doesn't look much younger than that.

Seiko looks great.
