TOKYO —
Singer Hikaru Utada, 25, will release a new album “HEART STATION” together with a music video DVD on May 21. In the music video, the production process of the new songs featured in the album is filmed.
The documentary-like music video was filmed while Utada was recording her songs at a private studio. She said, “It’s the first time for me to reveal my production process. I’m a bit embarrassed to be filmed while I was seriously composing my music.”
The song “Prisoner of Love,” featured on the new album, is the theme song for Fuji TV’s new drama “Last Friends.” It will be released through online music providers for mobile phones on May 1.

Interesting she feels embarassed about being filmed doing that while the past year. her blog has been filled with some mind bending padded room obsession with her stuffed bear, "Kuma-chang". Either she is an effective blog troller or she needs to get married again.

Prisoner of Love will be high in the charts again. But I prefer Flavor of life among her recent songs. Though my all-time favorites are "Colors" and "Deep River", it's actually "Kremlin Dusk" that made me see her in a somewhat new light and realize again that Utada is a genius. She was commissioned with good reason to write theme songs for such abstruse works as Evangelion and a movie cinematized from Mishima's novel. BTW I don't want her get married again.
