Singer Ken Hirai starts nationwide tour

TOKYO —

Singer Ken Hirai, 36, started a nationwide tour at Tokyo Budokan stadium in Tokyo on Saturday. The tour, titled “2008 Fakin’ Pop,” will consist of 24 concerts in 14 cities nationwide through July 20. Hirai said, “This is my first tour together with a full band in four years. I’ll be challenging new areas.”

Hirai is scheduled to tour Mie, Hiroshima Nagoya, Hokkaido, Kobe, Fukui, Osaka, Shizuoka, Miyagi, Tokushima, Saitama and Okinawa.
