Singer Kumi Koda appointed 'ambassador' for Kyoto mobile app

Japanese singer Kumi Koda has been named an official “PR ambassador” for a mobile app created by the city of Kyoto.

The 33-year-old singer, a Kyoto native, was appointed to the position during a launch ceremony of “Hello Kyoto,” a mobile app that will be delivering various information on what is happening around Kyoto, at the Rohm Theatre Kyoto on Tuesday, Sankei Shimbun reported.

Koda was approached last October by the Kyoto mayor who asked her to promote the app and serve as its main character, a role which Koda said she was happy to accept.

“I lived in [Kyoto’s] Fushimi city up to the age of 18 and I often used to hang around at the Fushimi Shrine. Now that I live in Tokyo, I am reassured what a great place Kyoto is,” Koda told media at the event.

Koda will be performing at the Rohm Theatre Kyoto on June 28 and 29.

Really? I mean, she's incredibly sexy, don't get me wrong, but I think there are far more attractive things about Kyoto you could be advertising. I'm going to go ahead and assume this was thought up by a man, and agreed upon by a panel made up of mostly men.

Yup, Koda Kumi is hot. And she's a woman (33). Not like those other lolicon gigs with no talent. Koda Kumi even featured Fergie at one of her shows. Fergie is even hotter-

Her sister Misono is much cuter than she is. She used to be on TV from time to time; what happened to her?

Duh, she wants more spotlights of course.
