TOKYO —
The female singing trio Biyuden on Sunday held their farewell concert in Tokyo after 3 years and 9 months together. Biyuden was formed by ex-Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa, 23, together with Yui Okada, 20, and Erika Miyoshi, 23, in 2004. The group became popular and famous for its sexy costumes and dances.
Ishikawa told fans: “We’re very happy to have such as a wonderful farewell tonight. I really appreciate your support for the past 3 years and 9 months.”
Ishikawa will continue her singing career, Miyoshi will start her career as a stage actress and Okada will work as a model and talent for variety programs.

Sexy costumes and dances... same as every other pop group that don't know how to write songs or sing properly.

I know I'm just being dense here but with summer upon us and the Biyuden CD buying public about to get out of elementary school, I would have thought Biyuden would have gone on a national 'Farewell' tour during the summer and cashed in on their popularity one more time THEN retired to their solo careers. But obviously I don't know the ins and outs of the J-pop business.
