Carole King holds first concert in Japan in 16 years

TOKYO —
American singer-songwriter Carole King, 66, on Monday held a concert at Orchard Hall in Shibuya for the first time in 16 years.
At the Monday concert, King sang her popular songs such as “Locomotion” and “It’s too late.” She will also hold concerts at the Tokyo International Forum on Nov 21 and 22 and will make a guest appearance on the “SMAPxSMAP” program on Nov 17.

@Harry: Before Thriller and Dark Side of the Moon, "Tapestry" was the biggest selling album of all time. It came out in about 1971 or 72... and she'd been writing songs in the Brill Building for many years before that.
But yeah, how time does fly.

Concur with Harry and JohnBecker, time has truly gone by. A very talented and classy lady, with some timeless songs under her belt as well. Too bad she will be letting SMAP brutalize them.
