Im not ashamed to say it but Im a Trekkie from way back to the "Next generation" TV series. hoping the new TV series is as good as the movies.

I am also a fan of StarTrek, love that universe where money does not dictate what to do anymore (except with the ferengi) and where the model is based on "welcome" and no "exclusion".

Love Star Trek!

J.J. Abrams has made the idea into typical global action fare. Drained it of it's nerdiness and charm. Maybe the series will do better.

JJ trek is not true trek. JJ trek is adhd with starships, while I think the actors play their roles very well with the intentions of trying to be true to the original series it is not. I still watch and enjoy but I know the difference and the original series, especially TNG and beyond is the definition of what is actual star trek.

Korean-American actor John Cho

I thought John was American. Never knew he carried two passports.
