Okay, it's a decent commercial. Not SuperBowl quality but decent. Still, last year's Volkswagen commercial with Darth Vader RULES.

I've never been a fan of Japanese commercials It's very rare that I see a good commercial that makes me laugh. I don't know what they can do either. The SuperBowl is the showcase event for media creativity. Maybe NHK should allow the commercials so that advertisers and directors here can take notes.

Hmm, i have to disagree. Japanese commercials are funny for the Japanese standards and usually very successful among the Japanese audience (remember, the goal is not only to be funny, but also to attract the audience to the product).

"Noodles tasty are"

Yoda would say:

"Tasty these noodles are"

We were watching some program last week about severe burn victims. One girl from Indonesia was featured, her injuries were awful. She went to the US for surgery. They say 'Now, we find out how she looks now, 12 years after surgery' and they cut to this commercial. I almost choked until a split second later I realized it was a commercial. Really bad ad placement...

If Yoda were real, I think this product would be very low on his list of products to promote.

Its an unfortunate waste of a good cultural icon.

What I hate about the commercial is the final tagline: BOIL JAPAN. Is someone making a prank here, or is this another one of the engrish bloopers?

How can people say Yoda is cute or Star Wars make any sense? It's so boring, brainwashing made for the gullible.

Or is something wrong with me? Looking at Yoda all I can see is a puppet, a badly tailored one that didn't even classify to get a role in the Muppet show. In most cases in the movie it was a puppet could only be seen over waist. When I was a child I read Hauff's fairy tales. They were more realistic and heart warming than the whole Star Wars with that childish powerhouse Yoda puppet. Let alone, Hauff's stories at least had a moral in the end.

Somewhat people move so far away from realities in these days. I just saw the TV commercial for this yesterday. It says "Boil Japan" in English. Isn't there a bad connotation to that?
