That's depressing!

T Swift couldn't cut the mustard as a "country star" so she sold out to go pop. KATY PERRY owns her anyway.

"musician"

-5 ( +3 / -8 )

She is great, both as a country artist and as a modern pop artist.

KATY PERRY owns her anyway which is why Swift has sold over 110 million albums worldwide, Perry doesnt even come close to that

Huh? Didn't ya see the country musicians' tribute to her at the Country Music Awards since she wasn't there anymore? They miss her!

And yes, musician since she writes and plays her own music, unlike a bunch of other "musicians" who all they do is vocalize whatever the execs hand them.

I don't like her music but she seems like appropriate enough as a role model for teenage girls. At least better than Lindsay Lohan and all those Disney Popstars. For one she doesn't seem to get into trouble just for tabloid attention.

She's known as the anti-Miley Cyrus

Pop music is a reflection of the era in which it is made. So we are the Taylor Swift era and generation. Hurrah??!!??

Music snobs. Usually people who learned the opening riff of 'Smoke on the Water' and have let the guitar gather dust ever since. Her music isn't my thing but I respect what she does. It sounds alright to me. What's wrong with it?

I prefer Katy Swift. Swift's face with Katy's body.

You go girl !

I couldn't tell you the name of one of her country songs but I might recognize one if I heard it. Never been one for pop music as well since I'm officially over the hill.

But I know a good song when I hear one and I still like to tear up the dance floor once in a while.

"Shake it off" is a great pop song, IMO. Both music and lyrics

Wtfjapan . . . . . Who blew up the superbowl & dissd T Swift on national tv? Akb48 sells a lot too. Doesn't mean they're the best tho-

Taylor Swift was crowned the world’s top-selling artist in 2014 on Monday, although an industry group said that the Disney soundtrack “Frozen” would have beaten her.

Nobody better tell Kanye West that or he'll attend the awards ceremony just to go onstage and tell her that she should give the award to Beyonce.

At least she isn't covered in tattoos that belong on the walls of an inner city slum.

Music snobs.

Yes, so very boring and a pleasure to ignore.

I like Miss Swift, both on and off stage. Nice young lady, and talented too.

Who blew up the superbowl & dissd T Swift on national tv? well considering Perry started around 2001 and Swift around 2006 and Swift has still outsold here id say the fans prefer Swift over Perry by far, music isnt about pure talent its a popularity contest and Swift is winning by far.

wtfjapan

Okay. I lost this arguement. I surrender. I just think TS is tooo much of a SQUARE. KP is a REBEL. I prefer rebellion when it comes to music. + i think KP got lil more coolness & attitude. & KP is HOTTER!

Wc626 "T Swift couldn't cut the mustard as a "country star" so she sold out to go pop."

uh, no..... she has eleven country music association awards and seven academy of country music awards...but who's counting?

Then why'd she go pop? What an insult to her "roots".

Then why'd she go pop?

Read the article title - sounds like it was a good move on her part.
