Professional golf player Ryo Ishikawa, 16, will appear in Lotte’s new TV ad for its Ghana Milk Chocolate, together with popular actresses.
In the new ad, part of a Mother’s Day campaign, Ishikawa recommends the product as a present for mothers, holding a carnation, together with actresses Aya Ueto, 22, Masami Nagasawa, 20, Maki Horikita, 19, Nana Eikura, 20, and Ei Morisako, 10.
Meeting Ueto for the first time in the studio, Ishikawa said, “I felt more nervous than when I play in a golf tournament.”

The only one I recognize is Aya Ueto, the babe that was recently promoting some sort of railway system.

With shoulders as narrow as that, he ain't ever going to be winning one of the majors. Another Japanese sports "star" destined for mediocrity abroad.

Is he the short one holding the chocolate?

greentea...Completely agree. Unless he gets on a weight-training program in the near future, he is going to have a rude awakening if he ventures outside of Asia to compete. But, if he bulks up, then he'll lose his appeal to all the J-ladies here who fawn over their little "Prince."

Won't win any majors, hey? If this this kid was in the habit of shooting off his mouth about how he was going to rule the golfing world the predictions of mediocrity made by others here might carry some weight. Okay, so the Sankei called him "greater genius than Tiger Woods", but I think we can leave their opinion out of the equation. He just wants to be like Tiger, apparently.
Let's look at this objectively, he's 16, he won a Japanese tournament when he was 15 and a half, making him the youngest ever to do so. He's just turned pro. He's not obscenely ugly. Who cares whether he makes the big time or not? If I owned a chocolate company (instead of just eating the equivalent of one), I'd probably be putting him in an ad too.
As for the ladies: Let 'em fawn! The aren't hurting anyone by doing so, and you've got to admit it's nice to see a real "talent" being celebrated for a change.
So, basically, here's my suggestion, people. Save your vaguely race-related rants against hype for someone who actually deserves them. There! I feel so much better with that off my chest.

I wish I was surrounded by these girls every seconds of my life ;p but about the teen golf star, I really don't know anything about golf, so I don't really care but for the girls, they look fabulous and can't wait to be back to Japan ;p
