My kids call him "Singing Grasshopper"
We hope more young people would get into this
musical genre, unlike"J"PoP you have to have TALENT!!!
Go,Kiyoshi-san!!!!
Maybe he is one of those "only the Japanese can understand Japanese music." Even if Jero is a 1/4 Japanese. Also all the young ladies like Jero while Kiyoshi's demographic are women over 50.
He did a dynamite version of the song on this week's Nodo Jiman. Also gave him a chance to showcase his communication skills, schmoozing with a 92-year-old contestant. I understand that he got his start performing in nursing homes. The suit he wore for Nodo Jiman, though, was electric cobalt blue, not black.

However, Kiyoshi Hikawa should not be doing all those tenor songs he keeps turning out, as he cannot really hit the high notes properly.
