TV commercial of the week: Super Mario 3D Land

In this commercial for Nintendo’s 3DS game, “Super Mario 3D Land,” which was released on Nov 3, idol group Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya enters the world of Super Mario where he experiences life as the title character.
Commenting on YouTube, some people said that Ninomiya looks more like Luigi than Mario, and that Satoshi Ono, who is the leader of Arashi, would have been a closer match for Mario than Ninomiya.

Heh I like these Arashi super mario commercials. They are simple but fun. JT maybe an idea to let the link open in a new window or maybe even EMBED the video? :)

I like this game but I am afraid if I do buy it my kids and I will become addicted to it so maybe just let granpa buy it and just play it at his house.

I am not saying Mario (and zelda, and street fighter, megaman, final fantasy, resident evil,) are not good games, but REALLY???? Japan may have "invented" the modern video game and brought us some classics, but how sad is it that you can not come up with a NEW IDEA?!??!?! (and yes I say the same thing about COD, but Japan is FAR worse about it. In America it is greed that they milk a franchise, in Japan it is total lack of originality and they lack the $$$$ to take the chance to make a NEW game or anything or decision really). That is why western and European game makers now FAR outshine Japanese game developers in terms of sales and profits. The highest selling games of all time are 2 of the pokeman games, and Wii Sports. ZERO innovation and only casual gamers/kids bought those games. the other 7 top selling games are mostly western made games.

Tried it out. Pretty good! I could see how it could get addicting. 3d was nice. But i only played for 10 min. However, i felt it could make me sick if i played for hours. Any users that could comment on thar...

I can't wait for this game, though I can't believe that people were reading into it so much as to say Riida would make a better Mario...everyone knows Nino is the video game nerd. And he makes a cute Mario anyway
