Let's see how long that lasts.

Yes; by ALL MEANS, give them the DEED to your Home, and your car, etc.

Amazing. The first responses to one man putting his money where his mouth is:

1) to criticise him for doing anything at all;

2) to question his sincerity;

3) to criticise how he is helping; and

4) to make no sense at all.

Yap yap yap.

Good for Mr Moore - not only has he spoken his mind, he is actually doing something to help. A singular man.

The Syrian passport was fake and most of the attackers were themselves French. Don't see USA banning French people. Just another false flag to keep the Middle East bombing runs going

Does the USA not even know its own history?? America is joke, so much for freedom. It's like banning the hostages who escaped an attack for being the attackers. USA out to lunch yet again. Good on Moore, trying to restore its former notions of decency.

Good on Moore. The giant steps back the Republicans are trying to take are one step back in the right direction thanks to this man. The US needs to thank him and follow his example yet again.

Has Moore ever opened his home to poor U.S. citizens?

I'd take advantage of this if I were a Syrian refugee because by the looks of Michael Moore, he might have some pretty BIG meals haha

Is it just me or does Michael Moore look a bit like Julia Child in that pic?

Sf2k:

Others have suggested a religious test for entry since the attackers were muslims, as opposed to buddhists, seventh day adventists,or sikhs.

This guy will use them to make a documentary! This is nothing but his way of getting the people to come to him to tell their story! I bet Michael Moore won't go to Syria to get stories this guy is an opportunist taking advantage these people!

Okay fine. Its his property, his house. I just hope the refugees are properly screened. Mr. Moore had better remove the bacon and beer from the fridge. He also should remove all the Hollywood memorabilia and other industry related taboo.

Last but not least, he ought to give his neighbors a heads-up.

Heads up to the derp brigade: this story is next to the one about sumo horse racing in the entertainment section.

That aint as good docu material as this one.

Never mind the 130 killed in Paris only a couple of weeks ago.

I suggest he also emigrates to Molenbeck to wrap himself in the rich tapestry of multi-culturalism underpinned by generous social welfare services.

Syrian refuges would feel right at home in many places of Detroit.

I agree, let Moore take them in. Let this piece of work do something good for once in his life. The man can't make a decent honest movie, so at least let's see his humanitarian side and let's see how that will turn out.

I am not against Moore in the slightest. In fact, I hope he follows through and presents a badly needed example. However, I am still going to have to see it to believe it.

What do you propose Moore does - resurrect them?

TravelingSales and other heartless rightwingers. It looks like, if we could flashback to pre-WWII, you would have said the EXACT same things about the Jews seeking refuge. It is amazing how you criticize others for helping. IT is NOT as if M.Moore is asking you to open your own homes. We KNOW that would NEVER happen, no matter how serious and important it would be. Rightwingers NEVER show compassion. NEVER show hospitality, but shut up, would you about others doing it.

Heard of Warthol's factory?

Well, judging by current events we'll be hearing about Moore's bomb factory if he continues with this.

TheRat- You are spot on. We haven't moved forward from our WW2 bigotry. We haven't learned anything. We are merely substituting one group of people for another.

Michael Moore, I hope you run for president!

Good thing for Michael Moore that his new guests don't eat pork. But I wonder how long his guests will stay? Michael Moore represents everything muslims oppose.

His latest film, “Where to Invade Next,” hits theaters in December.

There's your motivation, his allegiance to self-promotion is exceeded only by his obvious commitment to Twinkies.

What a joke.
